How many snacks should children have?
As a family you should adhere to a strict eating routine by implementing three meals and two snacks during the day.

A snack can be defined as: “eating a small amount of food eaten between meals”.

Energy Balls (Makes 40 small balls)
- Place the oats in a food processor. Mix until fine and place in mixing bowl.
- Place the mixed nuts in the food processor and mix into small pieces, it should have some texture. Mix with fine oats.
- Place the dates in the food processer and mix until a paste forms. If you are using dried dates, first soak them in boiling water until soft.
- Mix the oat & nut mixture with the date paste, add vanilla essence and mix until a firm mixture forms.
- Roll into small balls and keep in airtight container
